Invisalign Cost in Chandler, AZ: What Drives the Price

What drives the cost of Invisalign and clear aligners in Chandler, how insurance orthodontic benefits apply, financing, and how to get your own estimate.

"How much does Invisalign cost?" is a fair question and I am going to answer it honestly, which means explaining why I cannot give you one number on a web page. Clear aligner treatment is priced by the case, not the box. Here is what moves the price up or down, how insurance and financing fit in, and how to get an exact figure for your own teeth at our Chandler office.

    First, a note on names

Invisalign is a brand of clear aligner. At Kokopelli Dentistry of Chandler, the clear aligner system we use is ClearCorrect, made by Straumann, the same company known for dental implants. At our Ahwatukee office we offer Invisalign. Both move teeth the same way, with a series of clear, removable trays planned digitally from a 3D scan. When Chandler patients ask about Invisalign cost, the honest answer is the cost of clear aligner treatment, and that is what this post is about.

    What drives the price

Case complexity. This is the biggest factor. Closing a small gap or tidying up slightly crowded front teeth is a short case with fewer trays. Correcting a deep bite, a crossbite, or significant crowding across both arches is a comprehensive case that takes more trays, more visits, and more planning time. Dentists and the aligner companies price limited and comprehensive cases differently.

One arch or two. Some people only need the upper or lower teeth moved. Treating one arch costs less than treating both.

Treatment length. Most adult cases finish in 12 to 18 months. Longer treatment means more trays and more check-ins.

Refinements. Teeth do not always follow the computer's plan exactly. Many cases need a second, shorter round of trays to finish well. Whether refinements are included in the quoted fee is a question worth asking any office.

Retainers. Once your teeth are straight, they need retainers to stay that way. Ask whether the first set is included.

Attachments and other work. Small tooth-colored bumps bonded to the teeth help the trays grip, and some cases need a little reshaping between teeth to make room. These are usually part of the fee, but ask.

    How dental insurance applies

Some dental plans include orthodontic benefits. When they do, clear aligners are usually covered the same way braces are, up to a lifetime orthodontic maximum that is separate from your annual dental maximum. Many plans, especially adult plans, have no orthodontic benefit at all.

We check this for you before you commit. Bring your insurance card to your visit and we will find out whether you have an orthodontic benefit, what the lifetime maximum is, and whether there is an age limit. Our office is in-network with most major PPO plans, and you can read about which plans we accept.

    Financing

Most patients who go ahead with aligner treatment spread the cost out. Our Chandler office offers monthly payment plans through Cherry and CareCredit, both of which let you check your options in a few minutes. You can read more on our affordable dentistry page.

How to get your actual number

The clear aligner conversation happens as part of a regular exam. If you are new to us, that is our new patient visit, which is $59 in Chandler for patients without insurance and includes the exam, X-rays, and a cleaning. If you have insurance, we bill your plan for the visit instead.

During the exam I look at your bite, your gums, and your teeth, because moving teeth that have untreated cavities or gum disease is a bad idea. If aligners are a good option, we take a digital 3D scan, show you a simulation of the projected result, and give you a written fee for your case. That fee is for your teeth, not an average, and it comes with no pressure to start.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is ClearCorrect cheaper than Invisalign?

Sometimes, because the lab fees differ, but the bigger driver is your case, not the brand. Two people with the same brand can have very different fees.

Will my insurance cover it if I am an adult?

Only if your plan has an adult orthodontic benefit. Some do. We will check yours.

    How long does treatment take?

Most adult cases finish in 12 to 18 months, with a check-in every six to eight weeks. Limited cases can be shorter.

Can I get aligners for my teenager in Chandler?

Yes. We treat teens and adults with ClearCorrect at the Chandler office, and teens in Ahwatukee with Invisalign.
