I saw an advertisement for Tanda Pearl Teeth Whitening system that only requires five minutes a day to whiten your teeth. This is appealing to me. I’ve tried Crest Whitestrips. While they work, they do take forever. I’m looking for something that will be more effective.
Kenya
Dear Kenya,
After looking this up, including their ingredients, I’ve determined it will whiten your teeth. However, there are some important differences you need to be aware of before making your decision.
The Whitening Ingredient
The whitening ingredient is fine. It will whiten your teeth. However, like Crest Whitestrips, it isn’t very strong. There is only a 6% solution. To give you a comparison, what you get at the dentist will be between 22% – 35% strength. If you are looking for something fast, this won’t be it.
The Whitening Trays
The Tanda Pearl tray is one you will fit to your bite at home by biting down on their mold. It is inefficient. There will be leakage of gel as well as saliva that gets in, which weakens the efficiency of the gel even further.
On top of not being perfectly fitted to your teeth, the way professional trays are, it is a single tray for both upper and lower teeth. This means you will have to bite down on it the entire five minutes. This will cause your jaw to ache and could lead to TMJ problems.
Getting Teeth Whitening Done Right
If you truly want your teeth whitened efficiently my suggestion is you do it with a dentist. The trays are perfectly fit to your bite. Many people choose to sleep in them for maximum efficiency. The gel is significantly stronger.
If you are in a huge rush, some dentists offer Zoom Whitening, which enables you to whiten your teeth in just one dental appointment.
